Antioxidant activity and identification of flavonoid compounds in Patat leaves (Phrynium capitatum) ethyl acetate extract

Flavonoids are the biggest compound from phenolic group that has function of antioxidants. One plants with flavonoids is patat (Phrynium capitatum), which usually used as food wrapping material. This study aims to quantify total flavonoid content, antioxidant activity and identify leaves ethyl acetate extract. Patat sample cleaned, dried, grinded. Grinded were macerated gradually for 2 × 24 hours n-hexane, acetate, methanol solvent. The extract undergoing test guided AlCl3 CH3COONa. Extract content proceed by SOD (superoxide dismutase) method analyzed structure UHPLC MS/MS (ORBITRAP HRMS). 8.678 mg QE/g; then 5.296 n-hexane was not tested because negative results in qualitative test. classified inactive, an Ic50 value 488.299 ppm. low due sample, still a matrix containing many compounds. compounds identified its fragmentation pattern kaempferide, formononetin, pinostrobin.
